OUR HISTORY AS A MISSION-DRIVEN LAW FIRM:
In 2003, Bruce Campbell formed what is now Blue Dot Advocates. By 2009, he was practicing law in a very different way, driven by a desire to focus on facilitating commercial and investment activity to improve the state of the world. By 2013, in order to solidify our social commitment, we became the first law firm in Colorado to be a Certified B Corp. In 2017, we reincorporated as Blue Dot Advocates, PBC, and are now a Public Benefit Cooperative. Our B Impact Assessment Score has increased 20% over the years, so we’re doing something right!

Why? “Cooperation” is at the heart of what we do as business lawyers. We hope that operating a law firm as a cooperative will illustrate to our clients and their business partners that there are many ways businesses can balance financial success with higher purposes. We understand that “business as usual” is increasingly not a sustainable trajectory. We believe that thoughtful business and finance can improve quality of life for everyone, all around the world. And, we pledge to do our part, now and always, to protect our pale Blue Dot – our home.
