An area institution for over seven decades, Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home offers up a full range of floor covering and home décor services to the greater Denver community.

From its humble beginnings as a small, post-war upholstery shop tucked inside an abandoned chicken coop, to the formidable, full-service home décor firm it is today, Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home’s tale is truly an American success story.

In the early 1940s, Bruce Welbon was a young pilot serving at Denver’s Lowry Air Force Base, when he fell in love with a local farmer’s daughter. The couple would soon be wed, with Bruce quickly taking on the upholstery trade, in keeping with the family traditions of his Italian in-laws.

His initial business venture – a small shop set up in a former chicken coop – would prove an enormous success. By the early 1960s, Bruce’s shop had expanded in size and scope, and began offering carpeting. Bruce’s son, Bill, would take over the business in 1976, and remains the company President to this day. Bill’s son, Adam, joined the family business in 2010, and is currently Operations Manager.

Today, Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home offers up a full range of services, including carpet, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, ceramic, LVT, window covering, area rugs, and remnants. We proudly serve South Denver, Southeast Denver, Englewood, Sheridan, Glendale, Cherry Creek, Lakewood, Platte Park, Littleton, and Washington Park.
